i HEART faces... Wedding Bells!

My brother in law just got married a few weeks ago ('tis the season, right?), and it was so much fun to see all the family and enjoy watching how in love the bride and groom are. As lovely as the happy couple was, however, these little girls totally stole the spotlight for me in this shot, so I just had to crop and edit it to make them stand out even a little more. Aren't they just adorable little flower girls? :)

Fix It Friday 18--Sad Little Guy

What a sad little face!
Using Elements this week, I rotated & cropped, used an equalize filter, sharpened, and added a blue-filtered vignette.

Then I tried for this smoother look. I think his eyes look more natural in this second one.

Isn't that the cutest smirk?

Using PSE, I rotated, cropped, played with the levels, desaturated except the eyes and minimized the appearance of the vein in his forehead. I think maybe I overdid it on the brightness... So I tried again... but maybe this one is boring?

My grandma never smiles for REAL in pictures, so this was my making a bunch of silly remarks to get both my brother and my grandma laughing. Grandma would probably kill me for this picture, but at least it's REAL emotion!

Prom Edit

I took this one of my sister on her way to Junior Prom with my Nikon D40x at about 35mm. I lightened her face a little and increased contrast on the sky, which I love (maybe that's just me). Otherwise, I don't love the cars in the background... I don't know if it needs a good crop... Maybe it's too cool... I'm just not sure what to do with it.
